Polar Plunge for Special Olympics

These brave plungers joined in with over 180 people and took a dip at Willows Beach on February 16,2020 in support of the BC Special Olympics!

As an established Special Olympics fundraiser throughout North America, the Polar Plunge has a history of people laughing and splashing for a cause.

The Vancouver Island Polar Plunge sees families, individuals, businesses, law enforcement and celebrities jumping into the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean at Willows Beach to raise dollars and awareness for Special Olympics BC. This fundraiser helps to bring quality sport training and competition to people with intellectual disabilities and transforms the lives of children and adults through the joy of sport.

In 2019 the event had over 100 people participate and raised over $30,000.
